Principles
The counselling principles consist of the essence of the psychological, social and philosophical foundations on which the counselling is based. In addition, these principles are influenced by the philosophy and paradigms of the community's where educational counseling and guidance program is carried out.
Accordingly
The individual has the freedom of choice. The function of the counselling is to help the individual to perceive the options and make the right choices so that he/she can use his/her freedom.
Human beings are creations that worth respect for. Human beings are creations that worth respect for regardless of religion, race, colour, or gender.
There is no compulsion to benefit from counselling services. It is necessary to help the students without violating the voluntary principle.
Counselling mentality foresees a student-oriented educational system. In student-oriented education, guidance is provided for each student, not just for the ones with problems.
Counselling services are conducted in cooperation with those concerned. The psychological consultant's ability to get support from the student together with all in-school and out-school people, is effective in the provision of service more effectively and efficiently.
When giving guidance to students, it is necessary to know them in every aspect.
Privacy is essential in counselling services. Without the consent of the counselee, the details spoken with the student should not be transferred to any person or institution.
Counselling is a service for all students.
