‘Fitness’ is a set of equipment-assisted, or non-assisted, physical exercises, which are executed regularly throughout a person’s life, and which are tailored to the person's age and health status. The aim is to improve a person's physical / psychological performance and strengthen the cardiovascular system.
Through the release of endorphins (the happiness hormones) and the intense activation of the whole hormone system, fitness improves one's muscle strength, body flexibility, balance, coordination and bone structure.
The increased metabolism rate, provides much-needed energy for the individual, and regulates sleep cycles.
